Ramsey County has thousands of civil and criminal cases each year.  The job of the judge is to make sure justice is done.  Come learn about trials, sentencing, and appeals from the Chief Judge himself!

Chief Judge John H. Guthmann was appointed in 2008, elected in 2010, and again in 2016.  He recieved his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1980.  We have toured his workroom, (aka, the Ramsey County Courthouse) now it is time for him to visit us!

Minnesota Opera presents the Story and Music of The Barber of Seville

$12

with Pablo Siqueiros

Calendar Sep 17, 2019 at 1:30 pm

Minnesota Opera presents the story and music of The Barber of Seville.  Rossini’s beloved and irresistible rom-com is a cut above.  Figaro, Seville’s quick-witted barber, helps a young woman flee an unsuitable suitor and find true love.  Naturally, nothing goes according to plan, and Figaro must think on his feet to save the day.  The instantly recognizable music sparkles in this razor-sharp, comedic masterpiece.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a performance of The Barber of Seville at The Ordway Center on November 5 (details will be given in class).

Presented by Minnesota Opera Teaching Artists: Pablo Siqueiros & Marcia Aubineau

Fee: $12/series; FREE to Lyngblomsten residents and tenants.

Registration preferred; walk-ins welcome.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislature appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
